Who Benefits?
Music Therapy is an effective intervention for persons with developmental and physical disabilities, autism, dementia, substance abuse, psychiatric disorders, acquired brain injury, learning disabilities and communications disorders. The universal appeal of music enables people of all ages, cultural backgrounds and abilities to participate in Music Therapy.

Listening: may be used to increase attention span, improve memory skills, alter behaviour and mood states.

Movement: used to facilitate non-verbal communication and self-expression, develop fine and gross motor skills, develop and/or maintain muscle tone, improve balance and range of motion.

Playing Instruments/Improvising:
to increase self-expression, self esteem, provide a socially acceptable release of tensions and anger and improve participation in team work.

Music Therapy is applicable to all age groups and adapted to all client groups such as:
