Bonnie Brittain BMT,MTA
Bonnie Brittain completed a degree in music therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University in April 2009, followed by an internship with Fermata Music Therapy. Bonnie has clinical experience in long-term care and with adolescents with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Down Syndrome, as well as providing group music therapy sessions to elementary schools to special needs children.
Bonnie plays the viola and has played in multiple orchestras in Hamilton and at university. Bonnie also plays the guitar, sings, and plays piano. She enjoys using her musical talents at work, church, and at play.
Kristen Anderson, Master Music Therapy Kristen Anderson received an Honours BA in Music Education and Performance from McMaster University in 1994. She has over 15 years experience teaching piano to students ranging in age from 4 years old to adult. Kristen completed a Master of Music Therapy from Wilfrid Laurier University. She has experience working with children having special needs such as Autism, Down syndrome, Williams syndrome and other developmental and behavioural challenges in both an educational and therapeutic capacity. Kristen completed an internship with seniors at a long-term care facility and is currently providing music therapy for adults at a rehabilitation facility for Acquired Brain Injury. Kristen is a piano teacher at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts with the No Bounds Music Program instructing students with special needs, and has been providing music therapy with Fermata Music Therapy since April 2009.
